Permanent Fusion<\/b><\/p>\n

It’s only been Nikaido’s birthday for a half-hour, but he’s entirely satisfied with it. Curled up in bed with Senga, Nikaido feels warm everywhere Senga’s skin touches his, his heart squeezing in his chest when he thumbs at the earring dangling from Senga’s ear. <\/p>\n

Maybe it’s stupid, but then again every eight-year-old boy on the island knows that potara fusion is forever. Senga knew exactly what his present meant, Nikaido’s sure. <\/p>\n

“Nika?” Senga stirs against him. Nikaido crushes him even closer, until Senga squeaks. When he leans down for another birthday kiss, his own earring swings against his skin.<\/p>\n
