Shine a Bit Brighter<\/b><\/p>\n
He swears the stars in the sky shine a bit brighter when both he and Sora are in their Tower room at the same time. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou\u2019re drunk,\u201d Sora laughs, occupied unpacking his backpack on their bed. Riku is slouched in one of their oversized beanbag chairs, close enough for Sora to kick playfully at Riku\u2019s thigh. \u201cThe stars don\u2019t even move here, they\u2019re exactly the same.\u201d<\/p>\n
Riku lets his head flop backwards, looking out their star-shaped window upside-down. \u201cNah. Definitely brighter. I can tell. Look,\u201d Riku lifts one hand to point vaguely, \u201cthat one\u2019s twinkling, just started doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat the hell were you and Lea drinking?\u201d Sora asks. Scooping up an armful of dirty clothes, he turns to go drop it in the hamper. \u201cEvery time you two go to Radiant Garden together, I swear\u2014oof!\u201d<\/p>\n
Riku\u2019s grab is clumsy but still strong enough to tumble Sora into his lap, t-shirts and moogle-print boxers going in all directions. Riku gathers Sora in close, arms tight around Sora\u2019s tiny waist and buries his face in Sora\u2019s hair. His hair spikes are limp from being unwashed, but still soft against Riku\u2019s cheeks, and he smells like salt, sunshine, and dirt. <\/p>\n
\u201cYou smell good,\u201d Riku mumbles, muffled because his nose is squashed against Sora\u2019s scalp. He\u2019d missed Sora like a hollow space in his chest the whole time he\u2019d been gone, and hugging Sora\u2019s pillow to try and sleep had only made the edges of that hollow sharper. <\/p>\n
\u201cI objectively do not,\u201d Sora argues, already slumped limp against Riku\u2019s chest. His breath catches when Riku noses along his hairline, lips skimming behind his ear. \u201cHey, you trying to start something back there?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMm mmm,\u201d Riku hums, not an answer. His head is empty except for the weight and warmth of Sora against him, the relief of having him close again. Riku\u2019s almost boneless with that relief, sinking deeper into the beanbag. <\/p>\n
\u201cOh gosh. C\u2019mon, hey.\u201d Sora squirms gently, trying to turn to see Riku. He manages to twist enough to catch Riku\u2019s chin with his palm, examining his eyes. Riku blinks at him slowly, eyelids heavy. \u201cYou really are drunk, aren\u2019t you? You\u2019ve gone pink.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBut you love me anyway, right?\u201d Riku asks. Distantly, he knows he sounds a bit whiny, but he\u2019s too preoccupied with the deep blue of Sora\u2019s eyes to be embarrassed. <\/p>\n
\u201cCourse I do.\u201d Sora leans in close enough that Riku\u2019s eyes flutter shut. Sora kisses one of his eyelids feather-light, then the other. \u201cCan we please get a shower? No baths for drunk dream eaters, can\u2019t trust you not to drown.\u201d Riku makes a noise of discontent at the thought of moving. \u201cShush, the faster I\u2019m clean, the faster we\u2019ll be in bed, hm?\u201d Sora twines arms around Riku\u2019s neck and asks sweetly, \u201cPlease?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou drive a hard bargain,\u201d Riku sighs. Sora laughs in Riku\u2019s ear, and Riku shivers pleasantly. \u201cYour wish is my command, but good luck getting me out of this beanbag.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI got you,\u201d Sora says, and the tingle of magic transferring from Sora\u2019s skin to Riku\u2019s is the only warning before Sora casts, \u201cAero!\u201d <\/p>\n
