Four Letter Word<\/b><\/p>\n
“What?” Sanada stares at Nozawa. <\/p>\n
“What do you mean, what?” Nozawa narrows his eyes. “I just told you I liked you, what kind of response is ‘what?’ I thought you’d be really into it, but you have no idea what I’m even talking about do you? I thought we were flirting!”<\/p>\n
“What?” Sanada repeats, helpless. <\/p>\n
“You weren’t flirting at all, were you?!” Nozawa demands. “You really do just forget your water bottle and your sweatshirt and your change all the time, don’t you? You really are just stumbling into me during practice on accident, and you keep getting jammed in doorways with me cause you can’t remember to wait your turn, and that whole thing about being allergic to Latex, what the hell was that?”<\/p>\n
“What?” Sanada demands.<\/p>\n
“And Abe said you\u2026\u201d Nozawa cuts himself off with a snort. “Forget it, that’ll teach me, right? Like I shouldn’t have already learned my lesson about listening to Abe, especially when it comes to you, right? He went on and on about it, that jackass, about how you…geez, just never mind.”<\/p>\n
“What?!<\/i>” Sanada can only go on repeating in dawning horror. <\/p>\n
“Just forget the whole thing.” Nozawa turns and stomps towards the door. “I’ve obviously had everything all wrong, not that you’re any help, thanks, so I’m going to go and be humiliated on my own a bit, don’t wait up.”<\/p>\n
The door swings shut behind Nozawa, Sanada calling one last plaintive, “WHAT?!”<\/p>\n
